The details that matter.
MRF Genius King English Willow Cricket Bat is one of the flagship bats in MRF's range. The manufacturer describes it as handpicked from some of the world's finest willow and built with a full profile to maximise the available playing area.
Key Features
- Handpicked premium English willow
- Full-profile blade with maximum playing area
- Senior Short Handle size
- Premium padded bat cover included with the manufacturer specification
Best Suited For
Advanced club and representative players who want a substantial full-profile bat and are comfortable investing in a top-tier piece of willow. This model is aimed at the batter who wants maximum blade presence behind the ball rather than a stripped-back profile.
Choosing a Premium Willow Bat
At this level, the individual bat matters. Grain structure, pickup, exact scale weight and cosmetic markings vary naturally. A visually perfect blade is not automatically the best-playing bat, so pickup and response should be considered alongside appearance.
Bat Preparation
Premium English willow still needs correct preparation. Confirm the bat is fully knocked in before hard-ball use and add a protective face or toe treatment if that suits your maintenance preference.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does “full profile” mean?
It means the blade retains more volume across the back rather than being heavily concaved, giving the bat a broad, substantial playing profile.
What size is this model?
Senior Short Handle.
Does every Genius King look identical?
No. Each bat is made from natural willow, so grains, colour and minor cosmetic characteristics vary.

Care and common questions
How should I care for this product?
Follow the bat manufacturer’s oiling, knocking-in and storage instructions. Introduce natural-willow bats gradually to hard-ball use; a workshop service does not guarantee immediate match readiness. Avoid excessive oil, damp storage and direct heat. Check face, edges and toe after play.
How do I choose the right size?
