Choosing the right Maverick

BLU Maverick and Spliit Maverick are separate DSC range models. Check the full product name, photographs and size before choosing. A higher willow grade does not replace a comfortable fit: choose a bat you can control throughout your innings. Prepare the blade before hard-ball use and follow the manufacturer's bat-care guidance.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the Spliit Maverick?

No. This listing is specifically for the BLU Maverick. The Spliit version is a separate product with its own listing and photographs.

What size is this bat?

It is the adult Short Handle version. This listing does not combine junior, Harrow or Long Handle sizes under the same price.

What willow grade does it use?

DSC specifies Grade 1 English willow for the BLU Maverick. It is not a Kashmir willow model.

Will the grain pattern match the image?

Photographs illustrate the model rather than a reserved individual bat. Natural wood colouring, grain spacing and playing weight can differ between bats.

Can I arrange a weight check or preparation?

Contact us before ordering to discuss available individual weights and any preparation options. Do not assume an exact weight or preparation service is included.

Care and common questions

How should I care for this product?

Follow the bat manufacturer’s oiling, knocking-in and storage instructions. Introduce natural-willow bats gradually to hard-ball use; a workshop service does not guarantee immediate match readiness. Avoid excessive oil, damp storage and direct heat. Check face, edges and toe after play.

How do I choose the right size?

Can I confirm individual product details?

Email info@nzcricketstore.com with the product name and selected variant. Ask about individual photographs, bat weight, materials or compatibility before placing the order.

When will it arrive?

Delivery costs and options appear at checkout. Orders normally take one business day to process before dispatch; workshop preparation and product availability can add time.
