Junior Bat Size Guide - Player Height

Size 5: recommended for players approximately 152-160 cm (5'0"-5'3")
Size 6: recommended for players approximately 160-168 cm (5'3"-5'6")

This is a general cricket bat sizing guide. Player strength, reach and preferred pickup should also be considered.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this bat English Willow or Kashmir Willow?

This is SG's combo construction: an English Willow face is combined with a Kashmir Willow base. It is a separate product from the standard all-English-Willow HP Ravage and the separate Kashmir Willow versions.

Who is this bat best suited to?

It is suited to junior hard-ball cricketers who want a durable step-up bat with some of the performance characteristics of English Willow.

Which size should I choose?

Use the player-height guide above first. The player should be able to lift the bat into the backlift and complete a controlled swing without the bat feeling too long or heavy.

Does the bat need knocking-in?

Check the bat on arrival and complete the appropriate oiling, knocking-in and protective preparation before facing a hard leather cricket ball unless it has already been professionally prepared.

Will the exact appearance vary?

Yes. Willow is a natural material, so grain pattern, shade and exact pickup can vary between individual bats.
